So last weekend, Easter weekend, I went up to my Dad and his wife's house in Western Loudoun (for those of you not from Northern Virginia, this is VERY different from the Fairfax-y half of Loudoun and we generally differentiate when we say where we are from, so as not to be judged). I'm including a few snaps of the scenery because it was too pretty to pass up. A post about nothing really, but I just thought I'd share a bit about where I'm from.

This is the clothesline (duh).

And the daffodils facing South to the back field (with grapevines).

A birdhouse gourd (homegrown!).

The entrance to the vegetable garden. One of Dad's kills. (One year I had to make him promise not to have his latest hanging from a tree in the front yard when I brought a friend from the city home at Thanksgiving.)

And since we're on the subject, this is an interesting specimen, right here. I hope you can tell, but the antler closest to us has 5 points and the antler on the other side has only 1. An unusual sight for sure.
