They have this lowfat variety in several interesting flavors (lemon is my favorite, but the orange/passionfruit is a close second with mango right behind, in third place). It's a texture issue - this is the smoothest yogurt ever with the most flavor. I can't get enough. Miles agrees. (Yes, that is yogurt on his nose)
Moving on, I've finally been seeing some major progress in the garden. Here are some snaps from this morning. Baby chili pepper!
Hostas and phlox my mom brought me this past weekend that I haven't had a chance to plant yet. (Shh.. don't tell)
Lettuce, ready to start eating, red and yellow tomatoes, bell peppers, zucchini.
Carrots (top left), arugula (top center), zucchini (top right, I really like zucchini), tiny broccoli plants (bottom right), pepper, tomatoes and some kind of cilantro-y thing (the tall one toward bottom right). Most of these are the ones I started from seedlings. I think maybe all of them are. So they are a bit behind the ones in the other box.
My gardenia from Lowe's is finally blooming for the first time since removing it from the pot a year ago. Those crazy plants from the growers - they are forced to bloom early so they are full when they are on the shelves, but then they freak out when you plant them in a natural outdoor setting. This one should have had buds awhile ago and probably should have bloomed more times and longer last year than it did. And all the leaves fell off right after I planted it. I'm having the same problem with an azalea I planted last spring too. That thing just won't grow leaves!
And two of the strawberry plants I got at the farmer's market a couple weeks ago are producing small berries! Yay! I'm experimenting this year on how to grow my strawberries. These are hanging from a pot on my back deck which gets a pretty good amount of sun most of the day. I have another plant in a pot on the front porch and then one more plant in a Topsy Turvy planter out back. I'm afraid that one might not be getting enough sunlight, so I may move it this afternoon to the front yard.
I ate that one in the middle right after this photo was taken, and it was awesome.
